Location
First United Methodist Church is located at 6011 Main Street, Mays Landing, Atlantic County, New Jersey, USA. Mays Landing is about 50 miles southeast of center city Philadelphia, midway between Vineland and Atlantic City, at the heart of Atlantic County, NJ.
We are located near the center of town, which is the intersection of U.S. Highway 40 and State Highway 50. To make life interesting, routes 40 and 50 are the same road for about one-half mile. On the four corners at the center of town are a restaurant, a flower shop, a park, and our neighbor the Presbyterian Church. If you stand facing the Presbyterian Church, you will see our church just off to your left. The two churches are separated by a small cemetery.
In addition to our main church building, we also have our Education and Outreach Building. This building is located on an adjoining property just behind our main building.
Our early morning services during the summer are held at nearby Gaskill Park. The park is located behind the Atlantic County Library on Farragut Avenue, just two blocks East of the church on Main Street.

Parking
There is a small parking lot immediately behind the church, and another small lot in front of our Education and Outreach building. Access to these lots is off of 2nd Street (2nd Street parallels Main Street; lot access is via Bank of America parking entrance). Some street parking is available in front of the church and on the neighboring streets.
There are three other churches within a block of us that share the same parking facilities. A couple of the surrounding streets are narrow or one-way. These factors can sometimes result in a minor amount of traffic congestion on Sunday mornings.
For our summer services at Gaskill Park, you can park in the lot behind the library or use street parking. Because of the early hour and usual light attendance, parking is seldom a problem for these services
Public Transportation
The Mays Landing area is served by NJ Transit bus service.
The last we checked,
bus route #315 (Philadelphia - Cape May)
and bus route #553 (Upper Deerfield - Atlantic City) both had
stops within a quarter mile of our church.
